Overview

Implementing Cisco MPLS Traffic Engineering and Other Features (MPLST) v2.0 is an instructor-led training (ILT) course that extends the knowledge and skills that the learner has obtained from the MPLS course.The course duration is five days in length, using a standard ILT format. The course reflects the latest developments in network design technologies and uses real-world scenarios to help re-inforce key objectives. The MPLST course is recommended training for individuals who are seeking advanced MPLST based knowledge and skills.  The course will enable learners to gather information ranging from the technology basics to more updated features and functions such as MPLS Traffic Engineering MPLS-TE), Fast Reroute (FRR) and Any Transport over MPLS (ATOM).  The focus of the course is on the technology issues of MPLS from a service provider perspective and how to configure some of the MPLS features and functions in an existing routed environment.  

Audience

This course is intended primarily for:
  • The target audience for MPLST course consists of network administrators and technicians responsible for implementing and troubleshooting basic IP multicast-enabled networks within a single domain, as well as Cisco CCNP, CCIP, CCDP and CCIE routing and switching candidates.
  • The course is targeted towards pre-sales and post-sales technical engineers who are responsible for designing, implementing and troubleshooting MPLS network or solutions that are based on MPLS technology.
 

Prerequisites

The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course is as follows:
  • Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent level of working knowledge and experience
  • Attendance of the Implementing Cisco IP Routing course (CI-ROUTE)) or have equivalent knowledge
  • Attendance of the Configuring BGP on Cisco Routers course (CI-BGP) or have equivalent knowledge
  • Attendance of the Implementing Cisco Quality of Service course (QOS) or have equivalent knowledge
  • Attendance of the Implementing Cisco MPLS course (CI-MPLS) or have equivalent knowledge

Objectives

  • Use the Cisco IOS commands that are required to successfully configure, monitor and troubleshoot MPLS Traffic Engineering
  • Use the Cisco IOS commands that are required to successfully implement a defined SLA using MPLS QOS services
  • Using the Cisco IOS commands that are required to successfully configure, monitor and troubleshoot Layer 2 services using the Any Transport over MPLS service
